The Tram to OHSU

We still don’t know all that much about this city of Portland. For example, we have no idea why someone decided to build the Oregon Health Sciences University on the top of Marquam Hill. But we do know that there is now an aerial tram bring doctors, patients, students and dopey sight-seers like ourselves from near the Wilamette River to the top of Marquam Hill.

The aerial tram opened in 2007 and, despite being a sore point with those who live directly below the tram’s path, has allowed for public transportation to carry visitors and employees to the school and hospitals far above. We took the tram this afternoon just to see the views, and here’s what we saw:
