We have developed yet another obsession in our neighborhood. Last Wednesday, we saw “In The Loop” and took advantage of the air conditioning at Cinema 21. It was our first trip to this independently owned movie theatre. Tickets were less expensive than the corporate stadium seaters in downtown, the popcorn was delicious and cheap, local beer on tap was available and most importantly the film house had character and charm. Located just blocks from our apartment, this is our new go-to choice for independent and classic films. The cinema reminds me of what the new Nickelodeon will resemble once the renovation of the Fox Theatre is completed in Columbia.
