What We Saw – Cars: Southeast Edition

In my quest to find interesting and old cars across Portland I have not spent much time in Southeast. Mostly that’s due to the fact that we live in Northwest right now and it usually requires a car trip to get to SE. But yesterday I took a bike ride down to SE and found a treasure trove of old cars. Many of these can be found and more specifically detailed and explained at Old Parked Cars. But not all of them:

1962 Chevrolet C10 Pickup

1972 Datsun 510 Wagon

1976 Datsun B210 Hatchback

1972 Citroën DS Sedan

1975 Volvo 245 DL Wagon

Citroën 2CV6 Club. If anyone knows the year on this, it'd be very helpful. Seems to be from the 1980s but hard to tell exactly.

1963 Ford Falcon Futura

  1. my husband-chef told me the 2 CV 6 Club is probably a 1989 special model -the last ones were produced 1990. He is not so sure if the shown two colour car paint is original or was perhaps done during a renovation some years later. In France a black/dark red colour combination was well known.

  2. I’ve seen photos of the red/black combination online but did not know that it was particularly popular in France. It is very possible that the green/yellow combination I saw was done here in Oregon as those are the colors for the University of Oregon.

  3. Oh, I just love it! The passion for old cars is a family tradition….
