A Year in the Rose City

Exactly 365 days ago we arrived in Portland. It has been a fantastic, interesting and engaging year as we’ve gotten involved in our new community much more so than ever before. Morgen has been hard at work volunteering all over town and almost singlehandedly keeping the city’s various farmer’s markets afloat. I’ve mostly been going to Timbers games and drinking beer with a bit of bicycling thrown in for good measure. We’ve enjoyed the rain and hated the rain. We’ve made friends and hated neighbors. We’ve seen the Timbers beat Montreal 4-0 and lose at home to Crystal Palace Baltimore. All in all it’s been the best decision we’ve made to move out to Portland. As Morgen mentioned, we don’t have any plans to leave our Rose City. And to celebrate our time in Portland, here’s a collection of photos spanning the past twelve months:
